Student Service Health Fee was approved by The Regents for implementation
Spring Quarter 1997.
(2) Graduate students must purchase the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (GSHIP) unless they are able to prove comparable coverage under another insurance plan. The 1998-99 GSHIP Fee is approximately $417.00. (3) Applies to MD students only; does not apply to interns and residents or health science academics. The annual disability insurance fee of $61 will be assessed in Fall quarter. (4) Students entering the medical school in 1998-99 will be assessed the Professional School Student Fee of $5,376. MD students enrolled in 1997-98 will continue to pay the $5,376 Professional School Student Fee; those enrolled in 1996-97 will pay $4,376; and students enrolled in 1995-96 will pay $3,376. (5) UC fees for which some taxpayers may claim a tax credit under the Taxpayers Relief Act of 1997.
