(2) Undergraduates may elect to purchase health insurance at registration. The 1998-99 fee is approximately $143 per quarter. Foreign Undergraduates and students enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner and Physicians Assistant Programs are required to participate in the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (GSHIP). (3) In 1998-99, the Educational Fee for California resident undergraduates is $2,896.00. For all others, nonresidents and California resident graduate and professional students, the Educational Fee is $3,086.00. (4) Assumes employees are California residents and part-time students. (5) UC fees for which some taxpayers may claim a tax credit under the Taxpayers Relief Act of 1997.
