[1] The Student Services Health Fee was approved by The Regents
for implementation Spring Quarter 1997.
[2] Graduate students must
purchase the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (GSHIP) unless they are
able to prove comparable coverage under another insurance plan. The 2001-02
GSHIP Fee is approximately $900.

[3] In 2001-02, the Educational Fee for
California resident undergraduates is expected to be $2,716.00. For California
resident graduate students the Educational Fee is expected to be $2,896.00. For
all others, nonresidents and professional students, the Educational Fee is
expected to be $3,086.00.
[4] Effective fall quarter 1997,
nonresident Ph.D. candidates who have advanced to candidacy by the first day of
the quarter will be assessed 25% of the 2001-02 Nonresident Tuition charge. The
reduced nonresident tuition will be applied for three calendar years, after
which enrolled nonresident advanced doctoral students will again be charged the
full Nonresident Tuition in effect at that time.
