About ORMP

The Office of Resource Management and Planning (ORMP) provides on-going advice and strategic recommendations to campus executive management regarding the most effective allocation and use of campus resources to meet UC Davis's goals and objectives.

Headed by Vice Chancellor John Meyer, ORMP serves a vital role in the financial and academic operations of the UC Davis campus. ORMP is a multi-faceted office, housing a wide variety of professionals who hold equally diverse sets of responsibilities, ranging from land-use planning to campus-wide financial administration. The office is organized into four divisions - Budget Resource Management and Planning, Physical, Environmental, & Capital Planning, and Real Estate Services - each of which is introduced below.

Administrative Units

Budget Resource Management and Institutional Planning & Analysis

Advises the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor and other campus leaders as to the efficient and effective management of the campus' operating budget resources. Provides analytical support for decisions on faculty position allocation, curriculum planning, campus enrollment targets, and other academic planning issues.


Capital & Environmental Resource Management

The Capital & Environmental Resource Management section of the Office of Resource Management and Planning is responsible for the management of physical, environmental, and capital planning issues on the UC Davis Campus.


Real Estate Services

The Real Estate Services (RES) section provides a broad range of support to campus development projects, University properties, and faculty and staff housing.
