Davis Commons is a retail streetscape on the southern edge of downtown Davis designed to provide a degree of sophistication paired with pedestrian amenities. It consists of small, street-facing, retail shops opening onto a circular, one-acre park and a large plaza furnished with tables, chairs and umbrellas.

It is located at 500 First Street--one of the busiest intersections in Davis--and is seamlessly integrated into the established auto, bicycle and pedestrian thoroughfares. It is adjacent Aggie Village and the UC Davis Arboretum.

Davis Commons provides over 205 new parking spaces in a lot located at the rear of the facility where it is not visible from the street. The location also provides excellent access to the rest of the businesses and activities in the downtown core.

Davis Commons was featured on ABC Nightly News with Peter Jennings as a model of "the new urbanism."
